Black Woods Legal Limited is a Scots law firm authorised and regulated by the Law Society of Scotland.

It was established in 2016 by Katrina McCabe who has over 20 years experience in a wide range of commercial property matters in both private practice and in-house.

The firm specialises in the following areas:-

Renewables - with particular focus on on-shore wind.

Commercial Property - with particular focus on Landlord and Tenant, Development and Secured Lending.

The principal of the business is Katrina McCabe. Katrina studied law at the University of Glasgow and business administration at Strathclyde Graduate School of Business. She qualified as a solicitor in Scotland in 1992 and re-qualified in England in 2014.

She has worked both in-house and in private practice. She has also worked outwith the legal profession as a foreign teacher and a contracts manager.
